Hand-painted Advent candle made from a hand-dipped pure beeswax candle.
Perfect for counting down to Christmas and marking the days of Advent, this pure beeswax candle has the numbers 1 to 24 painted down the candle. Light the candle for a while each day from the 1st of December to the 24th, Christmas Eve, to burn past the number for that day. This is the perfect family tradition during dinner or in the evening to make each day of Advent special and prepare your hearts and minds for Christmas.

We make these Advent candles from scratch in our family workshop from pure beeswax using a traditional hand-dipping method. These candles are 30 cm  (12 inches) tall and 2 cm wide. Eleanor then hand-paints each Advent candle to order, to make the perfect elegant Advent candle for this beautiful season of waiting and preparation.
They are painted using water-based, non-toxic acrylic paint so they are safe to burn but there may be a small build-up of paint in the pool of wax as they burn - this doesn’t affect the burn and can simply be wiped out just after you have blown out the candle.
Our candles vary slightly in size, shape, and colour due to the handmade process and natural variation in how they dry. They'll come to you wrapped in paper to keep them safe and ready for you to burn.
Each candle is made in small batches by dipping the wick into molten wax approximately 20 times and cooling between each layer. This gives a natural tapered shape, perfect for your candle sticks, and leads to a clean, slow burn.
